As well as offering a wedding catering throughout Devon and the South West, Eat With Englands are also able to provide details of numerous contacts throughout the industry. Working at weddings every Saturday, we come into contact with photographers, florists, bands, marquee company’s and dj’s week in-week out.
At a recent wedding, the photographers really caught our eye as being professional and unobtrusive. We were lucky enough to see (and use) few of their photo’s too (you can see some on our gallery) , and their style and quality of pictures really impressed us.
Lime Leaf weddings are wedding photographers based in Devon and provide high quality, unobtrusive, story telling reportage wedding photography.
Their way of working allows you, your family and friends to enjoy your day without us interrupting.
They are different in that they artistically document your wedding, keeping in the background and not stopping you at every doorway or while you’re trying to chat and catch up with old friends. The last thing you want is a photographer distracting you from your day.
They are located between Axminster and Lyme Regis on the Devon, Somerset and Dorset borders and offer wedding photography for the entire UK as well as international weddings abroad.
They limit the amount of weddings we do a year so we can give each wedding and photo our full attention.
They also work in exclusive unity with the award winning wedding video / cinematographers FX Films, should you wish to tie everything together in one professional package.

This is the second year running that we have been nominated, and it is so nice to know that our English Language Courses are well thought of by our agent partners, who vote for these awards.
Deborah and I work really hard all year to ensure that all our students have a fabulous time and really improve their English at our language school, so it’s lovely to be recognised by the industry.
Apparently, they had a record number of votes this year, so it’s even sweeter to be shortlisted again!

Ella and I went to London to meet with our new Director of Studies, Sandy Scott. (See Sandy’s profile in “meet the team”). The Mountlands team went to do a training course about becoming British Council Accredited. Language Schools need this accreditation to be allowed students from visa countries. It also opens alot more doors for Language Schools. We’ve come away buzzing with information and realizing that there is a lot of hard work in front of us. Welcome to Exmouth Sandy!

The big smoke

- Bags of fun
To soften the blow of soooo much work ahead, we took the opportunity to do just a little shopping! Well, we were in London
Mountlands Language School welcomes to Exmouth our first group of the season. This was a new group to Mountlands from Germany. They are all adults, and for most of them it was a first time to Devon. We have received excellent feed back from the group, despite the rain they had all week. So we look forward to seeing them here in Exmouth again next year.
News now of the progress of our new Mountlands school premises in Exmouth town centre.
A new ceiling has gone in. New door frames. and it’s been painted throughout. We still need shelves put up. Anyone know a good carpenter? There’s still a lot to do, but, we are on track to be in by June.
A new student activity was given a trial run by the Tyler family this weekend. We call it “Finding Seahorses”. Local marine boffin Charlotte Coleman is setting up a funpacked and educational day for all of us, young and old, which involves getting ones feet wet and taking a closer look at the sealife on Exmouth’s beautiful beach

This time it’s the turn of our French Agents Stephane and Sabrina. They came to Mountlands Language School to see for themselves what a great team we have here. This was taken in Exmouth Costa coffee, having just been talking to Stef Rowsell about courses in kite surfing Exmouth for our language students. Stefan was on a whistle-stop tour of the west country and we were lucky enough to meet up with him. They liked Exmouth very much. What’s not to like!! We are happy to say that we will be inviting the French students into our homes throughout July and August this year. Lets hope they enjoy the kite surfing. Please let the sun shine!

Jurassic Coast Training
Look. This is Ella and I on one of the training courses we’ve recently been on here in Exmouth. The first was a ‘Green Awarness’ course. That was all about sustainability and how we can cut down, re-use and recycle things at school and at home. Mountlands use local business wherever possible and we always use both sides of our paper! So I think we’re doing pretty well. The course in the photo was all about Exmouth’s Jurassic coast. It’s said to be the 8th wonder of the world you know! At our school we want very much to promote Exmouth, Devon and it’s exciting coastline, doing courses like this is all part of that. Ella and I are off to Charmouth for Mothers Day, fossil hunting. We may use it as one of our activities, but we need to try it out ourselves first. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Bye for now
Deborah

A visit to Exmouth Devon
Hello all
Well it’s still very cold here in Devon, but there is just the tip of a few green buds and shoots coming out in my otherwise barren Exmouth garden. So, roll on summer.
Ella and I had a visit to our Language school from a new Spanish agent last Saturday. They are looking for a Language school in Devon (See photo) Juan Lives in London. He had heard of Mountlands Language School through another Spanish agent and felt he should make the trip down south to Devon to see for himself the wonder of Exmouth. He came with Vanessa, who’s English, and also lives and works with Juan in London. They chose the most beautiful day. Plenty of people walking along Exmouth beach. And Exmouth town centre was vibrant with music and chatter. Exmouth looked fantastic. They said they were very impressed with everything that we showed them.
Ella and family are in Egypt for a well deserved holiday. Lucky things. My holiday is yet to be arranged! I’d better get a move on, Mountlands is getting busy. First group arrive end March.
We are still hoping to obtain our own premises this year. As yet, not quite the right place has come up in the Exmouth centre. If you are reading this from Exmouth, and you know of a property that could be made into a school. Get in touch. quick.
That’s it for now. Signing off
With regards to one and all
Deborah
